A woman is the essence of any home.

As a mother, daughter, wife or a sister she has various responsibilities to accomplish-along with
a huge role to play in helping build a stronger and better society.

The UMW Event aims to

Promote the Muslim Woman as a strong, independent and decision making citizen
To encourage the participation of Muslim women in decision making forums
To identify the critical issues that Muslim women feel need to be tackled generally within Muslim communities
Eliminate the concept of Muslim Women being suppressed, oppressed and deprived of their rights
Empower Muslim women through the Shariah
Promote Muslim women as positive role models in the society
Provide an opportunity to Muslim Women to engage and network with female community leaders and other members
Promote businesses within the Muslim women

The Urban Muslim Woman Event is a small effort to bring about positive changes in the society
and to encourage Muslim Women to utilize their skills in the most constructive way and live life to
their full potential.
